Digital Humanities Courses for Ukrainian Students

Starting in autumn 2025, a series of online courses in Digital Ukrainian Philology will be offered within the project "Digital Humanities: Ensuring Ukrainian University Teaching in Times of Crisis", coordinated by the University of Helsinki.

The program includes: large language models for linguists, generative AI and prompt engineering, quantitative linguistics, corpus lexicography. Participation is free for BA, MA, and PhD students. Top-performing students will receive a €100 award and an ECTS certificate. Courses begin in September–October 2025. Application deadline: August 15, 2025. More details here.

Hackathon of Ukrainian Digital Humanities 2025

The Hackathon of Ukrainian Digital Humanities 2025 took place on June 18–20 in Jena, bringing together participants for team-based work and expert-led workshops. Topics included data visualization, corpus-based linguistic analysis, and phraseological research in Ukrainian. The event concluded with team presentations and an award ceremony.
